ABOUT US
Mary Romanos graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Podiatry with Honours in 2009. Her honours research was investigating the reliability of a blood pressure measurement in the toes in people with diabetes. This research was published in 2012 in the Journal of the Foot and Ankle and presented at the National Australian Podiatry Conference later that year. Following the completion of her thesis she was awarded the Equus Podiatric. This award is presented to the Podiatry (Honours) student who achieves the highest overall score for an Honours thesis. 

Mary Romanos  is an Endorsed Podiatrist of Scheduled Medicines. Endorsement of registration identifies practitioners with additional qualifications and specific expertise in Podiatric Medicine

Mary is an experienced, dedicated and caring Podiatrist who embraces ongoing studies to keep her up-to-date with the very latest in medical research and treatments so she can ensure she offers her patients the very best advice and care.  ​​Mary provides friendly and professional treatment of the highest quality for everyone from athletes to children to seniors, and takes a personal interest in ensuring all her patients achive successful outcomes.  Her skill and knowledge has been sought as a clinical tutor to podiatry students at La Trobe University.     

Mary is an associate member of the Australian Podiatry Association and the Australasian Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine.



Julia Madigan graduated from La Trobe University obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science and Masters of Podiatric Practice.  During the four year course, she spent time studying podiatry abroad in Scotland under the UK’s National Health Service system. Subsequently she enjoyed practising in both rural community health service and private practice settings.

Julia Madigan has a keen interest in diabetes care, and enjoys providing education, assessments,  and treatment options which reflect the current evidence based research and are tailored to the individual’s needs.  Julia also has a passion for road and trail running, from which she initially experienced the relationship and importance between foot care and her love of running.  Her background in specialised footwear fitting at Sole Motive has developed her passion for keeping up to date with specific shoe brands and styles.

Julia is committed to continually developing her knowledge and treatment methods through attending regular professional development seminars, to provide her patients with the best possible care.

​​Joanna Barrett gratudated from La Trobe University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Podiatry in Honors. 

Since then, she has worked part time in private practice and is an Associate Lecturer in the School of Podiatry at La Trobe University where her main teaching areas are Clinical Skills, Podiatric Neurology and Podiatric Gerentology.  As a dedicated educator, she will often have a podiatry student observing in the practice. 

Joanna enjoys working with patients of all ages but has a special interest in paediatric podiatry.  Joanna takes pleasure in working with people and going that extra mile to put a smile on your face. 

Joanna consults from Podiatry at Camberwell Road Medical Practice on a part time baisis.

Joanna is on maternity leave.
